About Vacation Rentals in Steamboat Springs

The summer and winter resort town of Steamboat Springs is located 7,000 feet high in the Colorado Rockies. Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak constitute the 2,939 acres of terrain that's part of the Steamboat mountain range. Winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding, sledding, sleigh riding, and snow tubing as well as summer activities such as hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, fishing, golfing, river kayaking, and other outdoor activities can be enjoyed at Steamboat Springs. Steamboat Springs has more than 70 restaurants and some shopping extravaganzas as well. You also have all the amenities you would associate with a mountain vacation resort when you stay at a Colorado Vacation Home.

Steamboat Springs has one of the largest free-riding tubes in the US and even hosts night tubing! The Yampa River runs through downtown Steamboat Springs, while Elk River is 30 minutes to the north and the Bear and Colorado Rivers to the south. That means that Steamboat Springs is a good angling destination. The rivers feature rapids as well as calmer stretches. Those interested in the 'quieter' activity of golf would love Steamboat Springs for the presence of great golf courses. The Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed golf course, the Sheraton Golf Course offers spectacular views of Fish Creek Canyon and Mt. Werner. The Haymarker Golf Course resembles a Scottish links style with its meandering layout in the valley, and the natural mountainous terrain that acts as a hazard.
