About District of Columbia

The capital district of the United States is not only where the country is governed, it's also buzzing with tourist attractions. Free attractions and special events line up throughout the year in the Heart of D.C. to make your vacation  meaningful. You'll find casual cafes and upscale bistros on streets of Georgetown, while the downtown district offers you many new restaurants. U Street's nightclubs are known for their jazz music, while world-class performers take the stage at the highly acclaimed Kennedy Center. But it's not all urban attractions at D.C. Kayakers can enjoy the Potomac River as they kayak past the marble tributes to America's great leaders.

The Washington D.C. neighborhoods are some of the major tourist attractions. Adams Morgan is the intersection of 18th Street and Columbia Road. It's now more of a global village with Ethiopian, Thai, Mexican, Indian, and other communities. It's where you'll observe mural art in all its raw form. Coffee shops, boutiques and bookstores line the streets, while the heritage trail would thrill history fans. Nightclubs and bars become active by night. D.C. condo rentals could take you to the Brookland neighborhood. The neighborhood features 60 Catholic institutions, including the Franciscan Monastery and beautiful Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. No wonder then, that Brookland is nicknamed “Little Rome”. Brookland is also home to North America’s first and most comprehensive bonsai museum. It's located at the U.S. National Arboretum, a 446-acre area with landscaped gardens, seasonal displays, aquatic plants and a herb garden. You wouldn't want to miss this D.C. attraction.
