About Hawaii

Tourism is big in Hawaii, and a stay in Hawaii condo rentals would convince any traveler that tourism is going to stay big for a long time. Hawaiian tourism is concentrated on the 6 islands of the Big Island of Hawaii, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, and Maui. Hawaii's Big Island is said to be growing still, thanks to volcanic activity. In fact, volcanoes make for much of tourist activity in Hawaii, and especially Big Island. The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii has live molten lava flows. The Big Island is the site for the Mauna Kea, which is the world's tallest mountain measured from the ocean floor. Geology fans would want to check that out. Puukohola Heiau on the Big Island is the largest restored ancient Hawaiian religious temple. Waipio Valley provides hiking opportunities, and is named 'Valley of the Kings'.

The most interesting fact of the Big Island is that it has eleven different time zones, including contrasting landscapes of lush rain forests, arid deserts, black sand beaches, and snow-capped mountaintops! It's something you won't find in any other part of the world. The island of Kauai is home to the grand Waimea Canyon that provides for stunning views. It's called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The only navigable rivers in the Hawaiian islands are at Kauai and the Wailua River is one of them, offering kayaking opportunities. Solitude is particularly a feature of the Lanai island in Hawaii. Hawaii vacation rentals in Lanai could offer a romantic atmosphere. Championship golf courses and four wheel-drive tours to lunar landscapes have given Lanai the title of “Hawaii's Most Enticing Island”.
