Garden Valley is a lavish spread for the active vacationer at the Idaho Vacation Homes. The Boise and the Payette are the two National Forests surrounding the area. Garden Valley is about an hour from the city of Boise, the state capital. Mountains, rivers, streams, and local wildlife are some of the delights that would convert you into an instant outdoor lover. Visit the Idaho Historical Museum which showcases the history of Idaho from prehistoric times to the present. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the state of Idaho in general and the region around Boise in particular. Notable exhibits in the museum highlight the Native American, Basque, and Chinese influences in the region. The Boise National Forest in Garden Valley stretches over 2,612,000 acres. Hikers can choose from 1,300 miles of trails here. Hulls Gulch Trail, a 3.5-mile hike on gently sloping terrain is relatively easy. Fishing enthusiasts can visit Red Mountain and Cat Creek Lakes in Garden Valley teeming with rainbow and cutthroat trout.
