Clear Lake also offers quaint shops and antique stores in a downtown business district. Another vacation destination in Iowa is the Ledges State Park on the banks of the Des Moines River. Through the woodlands of basswood, maple, oak, and hickory trees, one can expect to have a great time with the many hiking trails as well as opportunities for canoing and fishing in the Des Moines River. Okoboji in northwest Iowa is a resort region as well.
