About Kansas

Cultural experiences and vast expanses don't come together anywhere else better than in Kansas. Flint Hills is a paradise for the outdoors lover. It's also home to the largest remaining tract of tallgrass in North America. It goes without saying then, that natural beauty is part of the attraction here. The Konza Prairie Biological Station is 8,600 acres of hiking trails and much more, located in the Flint Hills. The nature trails of Konza are open round-the-clock. They take you to interesting journeys from Flint Hills to riverbeds of creeks through tallgrass prairie. You can also visit the Hokanson Homestead built by Swedish settlers in 1878 as you journey through the trails. The Kansas vacation rentals could make suh Kansas visits comfortable. 

The visit to the prairie land could also be informative, as the Flint Hills site owned by The Nature Conservancy is managed by the Kansas State University Division of Biology. The Division conducts research on the tallgrass ecosystem, while seeking to educate visitors about it. On a different note, the Aggieville Historic District is a delight for history and culture fans. Located in Manhattan, it's the oldest shopping district of its kind in Kansas, with a 4-block region that contains over 100 shops, restaurants, and bars, while hosting Kansas State University Wildcat events. The Allegewaho Heritage Memorial Park is the last Kaw Indian village in Kansas. The walking trail takes travelers to 11 identified historic locations, including monument to unknown Indian. Information, history, nature, and cultural attractions make Kansas a unique vacation destination. Topeka is also an important city in Kansas.
