But if you're thinking that's just about all the beaches you have in Maine, you're leaping before you're looking. Many of Maine's beaches surround the lakes and ponds that together number 6,000. State parks are formed around these beaches, and you can look after yourself with the amenities such as grills, picnic tables, playgrounds, restrooms, snack bars, campsites and nature trails available, while the forests around the lake would give you some time out. The Maine vacation rentals can obviously take good care of you. But hey, beaches are only part of the attraction. Enjoy the rest when you visit in person, including the Acadia National Park and Bass Harbor.
