About Maine

Many vacationers just look for the quiet places. Who can blame them? The crowds and shops that fill up a vacation spot make a genuine traveler seek a place away from all the buzz. In the midst of giant trees, beside crystal clear waters, upon cliffs overlooking valleys and the ocean, sitting and gazing upon the countenance of the sky and ground holding you doesn't only sound out-of-this-world, it really is. But you might get tired of it pretty soon and want to head back to civilization. That's when you need to think about Maine. It's got remoteness and a buzz around it! You can enjoy the vacation hot spots and the cool zones together. 

Maine's beaches just can't be forgotten. Maine's Southern Coast and the 5,500 miles of coastline have plenty of white sand ocean beaches that are quite busy with relaxation activities in the morning, while the evening creates a romantic atmosphere. But if you're thinking that's just about all the beaches you have in Maine, you're leaping before you're looking. Many of Maine's beaches surround the lakes and ponds that together number 6,000. State parks are formed around these beaches, and you can look after yourself with the amenities such as grills, picnic tables, playgrounds, restrooms, snack bars, campsites and nature trails available, while the forests around the lake would give you some time out. The Maine vacation rentals can obviously take good care of you. But hey, beaches are only part of the attraction. Enjoy the rest when you visit in person, including the Acadia National Park and Bass Harbor.
