It has a beach and plenty of fishing holes as well. The French Broad River provides for some thrilling water rafting. Golf also is part of the itinerary at Asheville. The Grove Park Inn Resort has a course designed by Donald Ross, the famous golf architect. The Biltmore Estate at Asheville built by George Washington Vanderbilt is the most famous attraction here. It's a  250-room French Renaissance style home, and the largest single family house ever built in the United States.
