About Wisconsin

The Great Lakes region is famous for its captivating beauty and abundance of recreation opportunities on offer and Wisconsin is the jewel of Great Lakes region. The state of Wisconsin and its diverse landscape creates outdoor recreational opportunities in plenty. Wisconsin in winter becomes the preferred destination for vacationers to indulge in ice skating, skiing, and snowmobile derbies. Door County is a famous vacation and tourist destination in Wisconsin. The area is home to five state parks including Whitefish Dunes State Park. Hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, and snowmobiling are the popular pursuits in these parks. The restaurants in Door County are famous for 'fish boil', a traditional delicacy of the Great Lakes region. Door County features wineries and apple and cherry orchards as well. The seasonal cherry picking is a popular event in the area. Wisconsin is a great state with a great heritage and there are several historical attractions that reveal the areas history to the vacationers. The Aztalan State Park, located in the town of Aztalan features the ruins and artifacts of an ancient Middle Mississippian village. Taliesin, located in Spring Green, is a modern display of architectural history. It is the northern estate of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Taliesin is frequented by visitors in the area.  Southern Wisconsin region is the preferred destination of campers as the area has several campsites with astonishing scenery. Magnolia Bluff County Park is a southern sensation that features cross-country skiing and hiking trails.
